percentage concentration
« on: May 18, 2009, 06:20:32 AM »
Hi, can anyone please help me with this? ???

How many mole of H2SO4 is present in 3.20 L of a 35.7% w/w sulfuric acid, H2SO4, solution in a
car battery? Assume the density of the 35.7% w/w sulfuric acid is 1.28 g mL21. ???

I have no idea on what to do... ???

thankyou =]

What kind of a measurement is g mL21? Assuming you mean g / ml, then what is the mass of 3.20L of that solution? Given that 35.7 % w/w of that is sulfuric acid, how much acid do you have? What's the formula of sulfuric acid, and so what's the molecular weight of it?

You will know the answer, but you won't be any wiser.
