I was perusing Nu Energy's website, and I came across the sodium-chloride battery thingy. Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out:

I thought it was a neat idea, but I'm too clear on how it works. Bombard the aqueous solution of NaCl with ambient radiation, then have the chassis be the cathode and poke a wire in there for the anode? Voila voltage? If that works, why not just coat the case with americerium from smoke detectors to speed it up? Other than the safety hazard.
