CALCULATING MASS THAT WILL DISSOLVE IN 100 mL OF WATER!!
« on: May 30, 2009, 03:05:51 PM »
Calculate the mass of Ag2CrO4 (Ksp = 9.00×10-12) which will dissolve in 100 ml of water.

My work:
i calculated the concentration to be 1.31037E-4 M
then i calculated g/100mL [and im not sure if these are the units im suppose to look for]
1.31037E-4 M * .1 L * 331.7296 g = .00435 g/100mL

But this is WRONG...
can someone please tell me what units i should be using
THANK YOU!!  :)

Calculate the mass of Ag2CrO4 (Ksp = 9.00×10-12) which will dissolve in 100 ml of water.

Are you sure that's the correct value of Ksp?  My textbook has 1.2×10-12 and the CRC has 1.1×10-12.
