Did a lab today by titrating potassium dichromate into and unknown iron solution.
The equation is
14H
+ + 6Fe
2+ + Cr
2O
72- 2Cr
3+ + 6Fe
3+ + 7H
2O
But is says that since the reduction of one dichromate ion to chromium III involves six electrons, the redox concentration of the solution is six times its concentration.
I calculated the concentration the potassium dichromate but now do I multiply it by 6?
