Specifically what kind of AES?
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

I would start with a book such as "Analytical Chemistry: An Introduction", Skoog, Holler, West, Saunders, Phila, PA, 1990, Ch 23 (or whatever the current edition is).  Slightly more detail can be obtained from "Principles of Instrumental Analysis", Skoog, Leary. Ch 10-11 and then maybe try one of the more specific books.
