Paper Decay

Hi All, I have recently join a Paper company and currently working on a new product.

I need to know if there is any chemical that can be used to decay paper to fix its shelf life. how can we control the decay time with that chemical??

It was not a clear question. Do you need to age paper or preserve it from deterioration?
