Hello,
I'm digi vapor. I am an e cig user, e cigs use a Nicotine Propylene Glycol or PG based mixture also know as E Liquid or Juice to produce a vapor to simulate smoking and get nicotine without all the side effects.

I'm horrible a chemistry, I was wondering if anyone could help me whip up a very specific PG based solution that would be used in a E Liquid. This solution would change colors when vaporized. E liquid is already colored before vaporized due to the PG based flavoring. By "changes color" I mean the vapor from an e cig is a grey tone. For instance lets say a pink E liquid was vaporized into a pink vapor. It would have to be "safe" to be consumed by humans. I understand nothing is entirely safe, think about it like on the same level of PG or caffeine. Also couldn't contain sugary or sticky substances because it would destroy the heating element called the Atomizer.

Please take into consideration the difference between combustion and vaporized.

Thank you for your efforts and time,
                                                                  Digi

Not sure if it is impossible, but it will be at least difficult.

Where to start?
Can anyone think of a USP grade chemical that reacts color wise to heat. I'm not stopping until I figure it out so feel free to ball park it. I'll check back frequently (within hours).

                                     Best regards,

I have had interesting insights by other users on this subject, but at other forums stating the vapor exhaled reacts according the light. What are your opinions? Is there an existing color changing compound safe for humans to consume that reacts to light?
