Project - Partially Permeable Membranes and Chlorine
« on: September 14, 2009, 02:05:56 PM »
So I'm doing my Project for A2 level, it involves practicals.

I'm thinking of doing an Electrolysis practical, like finding out how much Chlorine I can make from Electrolysing Brine, and titrating it afterwards to determine the concentration?

Howler, does anyone know if there are different membranes in the electrolysis equipment, like which let different amounts of Chlorine through, and how I can make them, or buy them, and what they are called?

If I cant have the membranes as the variable, is there some other variable I can use, like find out how much Chlorine is produced in x minutes, with different powers to make Chlorine and different rates?
