What happens to a closed system when you add more material into it?

What would happen to the pressure inside a balloon if you put some extra material inside??

Thats funny!

@Topic

After eating the parasympathetic system of the body stimulates which is involved in secretion of many digestive gland in the body. on the other hand parasympathetic system

1) decrease heart rate
2) decrease vascular resistance

these all thing leads to decrase in blood pressure.

but after digestion and absorption of whole food t(especially if salty food) The BP slightly rise due to increase in osmolarity of your blood.

Interesting question. Why would our body be considered a closed system? Or are you referring to the stomach?

So if you add something to a closed system.....doesn't it start to get too full and eventually explode? It's been a long time for me..

it was to get the guy to think it through  -  the question is more complicated as stated by DocSuleman. In the short term, after a big meal I was assuming more volume in the stomach which would squash everything else up a bit.  Obviously once digested and assymylated it depends on what you've taken in, but I'd say that there would be a short term increase in pressure.  Looking back -perhaps I was wrong - sorry.

Would there be a very short term increase before the digestive juces get flowing?
