Which of the following compounds can exist as cis and trans isomers ?

a) CHCl=CHCl

b) CH2=CH-CHCl2

c) HClCFCl

d) CHCl=CH-CH2Br

e) 2-pentene

I want to confirm if the answer is ade. Thank you to whomever reply!!! Thank you! :)
I know that cis-trans exist only when each of the carbon atoms connected by the double bond has two different groups attached. I'm not sure about C, but so far, I don't see a double bond, so I'm guessing that it should be ade. Not b because it is not attached to 2 different groups by double bond. Thanks!

Your answer and reasoning are correct. Are you sure that compound c is dichlorofluoromethane and not 1-iodo-2-chloro-2-fluoroethene?

There a possibility that (c) is, therefore it should be acde?

If c indeed is an ethene, then yes. You need E/Z nomenclature to properly need it, though.
