Le Chatelier's Principle, Temperature, Endothermic Reaction...
« on: October 16, 2009, 09:58:55 PM »
I have a simple question, and I think I've got the answer, but I do not have anything to reference it from.

"What will happen to the temperature of this system at equilibrium if SO2 is added?"

Energy + SO2Cl2 (g) ---> SO2 (g) + Cl2 (g)

My idea: When SO2 is added, it shifts the reaction to the left, increasing the energy and thus, the temperature
of the system. Is this correct?

Thank you!

I agree.
