What is Drago's salt? I need to dispose of it.
« on: October 29, 2009, 01:01:28 PM »
I have a chem waste disposal group coming to pick up a collection of chemicals and one of them is marked "Drago's Salt".  I need to know what it is and even better where the MSDS info can be found.  I suspect that it has something to do with NO.
Thanks!

Is it a solid salt or a liquid solution? If it is a solid salt you can probably measure out a certain volume and measure the mass and deduce what salt it could be from density comparisons. There are other chemical methods you can use to be more precise (if it is in solution of course things become somewhat trickier). I have a feeling that "Drago" was probably someone who worked in your university and that he wasn't specific as to the chemical nature of the salt he isolated.
