Tin nanotube array
« on: November 18, 2009, 09:49:24 PM »
TiO2 nanotube arrays, which are the precursors of TiN nanotube arrays, are prepared by the anodization of metallic Ti foil, followed by subsequent calcination at 450 °C in air.  the TiO2 nanotube arrays consist of closely packed and highly ordered nanotubes with smooth surfaces. Nitridation at 800 °C for 1 h in an ammonia atmosphere transforms the TiO2 nanotube arrays into TiN nanotube arrays without collapse.
I've managed to anodize titanium foil and heat treat the the TiO2 titanium substrate. My problem is finding someone who can preform Nitration at 800 C in an ammonia atmosphere. Anyone have an idea where I can ship this to get this Nitridation treated.
