color of hexaammincobalt(II) ion
(1/1)
lakshan:
Hi,
Can someone tell me the most common colour of hexaammincobalt(II) ion [Co(NH3)6]2+ ?
Does it take a blue colour ? if so on which conditions ?
hmx9123:
Depends on your counterion. The chloride counterion produces rose-red crystals according to the CRC, but there's a lot more complex salts that can be made. Could you give a little more information?
lakshan:
Hi
What is CRC ? Can I find a copy of it ?
Mitch:
It's a book, you can find it at most libraries or ask them to get a copy for the library "CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics"
