Chemical to use on RC car tires on asphalt
« on: December 27, 2009, 10:03:36 PM »
I'm looking for some sort of solvent or oil that would work good on remote control car tires. The track is asphalt and prepped with soda water. The race is spec tires, but additives are open, so if someone can find a good additive that no one knows about, they can have a serious advantage. Some of the popular stuff people use today is diesel fuel, xylene, tuolene, oil of wintergreen, benzene, or water soluble gear oil thats baked in to the tire at 140*F with tire warmers. If anyone has any good suggestions, or something I can find on Dow Chemical, etc. I'd really appreciate it.

More likely nobody so far had any reasonable idea. This is quite specific problem.
