What does Molar mean?

A concentration of 1 dm3-

NO 1 dm-3 is a measure of volume not concentration.

dm-3 is not even a volume, it is reciprocal of volume.

dm-3 is not even a volume, it is reciprocal of volume.

What does molar mean.
jsmith. Once you have answered the question above, then the following document

http://www.scn.org/~bh162/making_molar_&_normal_solutions.pdf

which was obtained by googling the words

"making molar concentration solution"

will give you details on the method to produce a molar acid solution.

There is of course a "background" question. "How is the molarity of the standard 18M acid solution determined and guaranteed?"

Which is what I meant to post earlier but got distracted and posted half a message.

1dm3 is a measure of volume not concentration
1M is a measure of concentration and means as you've posted 1 mole per litre or 1mol dm-3

What are you diluting to get your 1M solution?

What volume of the solution are you going to prepare?

Honestly: either you will start acting as someone who wants to solve the question, or I will lock the thread. It is not our job to spoonfed you, so far you are doing everything to show that you don't care. We don' have to care as well.
