determining which type of bond has the greatest bond energies:

For CO2 and CHO2- which structure has the greatest bond energy in EACH C-O bond?

I know C- double bond-O for CO2 is 799 Kj/mol (by the way is this NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE)?

I know C- double bond-O in general is 743 kj/mol

I know C-single- O is 343 kj/mol (Approximately)

so does that mean CO2 would be greater bc it's 799?

Do I have to calculate the delta H/ bond energy for each compound???
