Carbon nanotubes and amorphous carbon help needed

Hi,
    I am working on synthesis of carbon nanotubes (CNT) arc discharge. The problem here is that the CNT'sre prepared with amorphous carbon and carbon nano particles(CNP)
Can any one suggest a weak oxidizer that can destroy the amorphous carbon and CNP without damaging the CNT.

Hi,
   Forgot to send setails about my attempts.
I am using oxidation in air to destroy CNP, I am heating the sample in air at temperature of about 700 deg C, in the flowing air.

Still lot of CNP remains.

i am not sure if diluted hydrogen peroxide might do any good. it's worth a try.

what about nitric acid? i heard its a good oxidiser
