Method of making Citrazinic Acid from Citric Acid?
« on: January 25, 2010, 02:11:19 AM »
I've found myself in need of citrazinic acid so I can control and play with the colour saturation in film in colour developers, unable to find anywhere to get it, and was wondering on the difficulty and process of making citrazinic acid from citric acid.

Does anyone have any suitable information?

Only method i could come up with is creating the tri-amide of citric acid with ammonia then cyclizing with heat and acid. As presented previously
