Testing for Iron III with Cyanide

i have 2 do a report/power point on an experiment i did with iron II and III and cyanide....i have the color changes and such, but i am not totally sure what they mean and whats going on....please give any information that u can!

While I wasn't there to see the experiment, I'm pretty sure you didn't use cyanide.   ;D  I think you might mean thiocyanate.  ;)  In that case, the color would turn red as a complex ion is formed between the iron ions and the thiocyanate ions.  I don't know the specifics, however, but I wanted to make that correction for you.   :)
