isocyanate synthesis from amines or amides

I want to covert the chitin (an amid) or chitosan (an amin) to thire isocyanate derivaetives. are there any methods that do not  use from phosgene?? ???

look at "advanced organic chemistry vol-2 carrey" chapter:carbenes and nitrenes to find your favorite very much reactions in there.
