Hello
« on: February 11, 2010, 03:49:12 PM »
Hi I just registered to this site and I really suck at Chemistry, I am having a hard time with this problem can someone explain to me in details how I could solve it.

A 40 kg sample of water absorbs 383 kJ of heat.   If the water was initially at 29.1 degrees celcius, what is its final temperature?

Do you know any equations relating heat absorbed to temperature change?

Hi zohal
  U know there is equation which can help u 2 solve this problem

 Q= s*m*( T2- T1)

so ( T2- T1)= Q / ( s*m)

but be carefull with the units and their change
