Hello !
I'm a first year student , I'd like to start doing some chemical
organic reactions which are also fun .
We were ( I and my group of friends ) thinking that whether we could use some organic compound to generate
some electricity ? I mean which we could easily synthesize or if it's easily available
buy it or something like that .
Any other suggestions linking organic with electricity will be welcome

Its not organic, but the copper sulfate battery is fairly cool... or was it copper nitrate.. lol

But I'd really like to know whether we can use organic stuff to
generate electricity . I'm not ruling out phototelectricity ( think this is a
research area ) using organic compounds .But just in case there is a way
we can make it easily or something .

The best "energy" producing orgo reaction I can think of would be a luminol typed reaction, featured in many videos on youtube. I believe (don't quote me on this" its just a solution of luminol and H2O2 and a basic solution of potassium ferricyanide mixed.
