p-phenylene diisocyanate vs m-phenylene diisocyanate
« on: March 10, 2010, 07:22:49 AM »
I'm studying the comparative reactivity of these two aromatic diisocyanates.

I seem to find in the literature that the reactivities are comparable, m-phenylene diisocyanate seems more reactive out of the two towards alcohols.

With respect to reaction with amines, I can't find many examples in the literature. Which diisocyanate would you expect to be more reactive?
