[Lempicka]

i'm studying the reaction of some 6-methoxy quinoline alkaloids with br2 in basic condition.there must be a substitution of br in position 5 ,then a nucleophilic attack by oh-and then an oxidation and a reaction whit nh3..but i'm not quite sure.i can't find it nowhere.i'm italian,here it's called "talleiochina"reaction..anyone knows it? please,i need help
