Is Kevlar Recyclable
« on: August 03, 2005, 06:19:01 AM »
i have been working on a high school assignment on organic chemistry. I have researched Kevlar and found all that I need except for whether Kevlar is recyclable, or if it isn't how it effects the environment. Any ideas would be appreciated.

thank you

There is some info in the MSDS. (pdf file)

Try google for the recycling info.

The Kevlar polymer is soluble in some special solvents like dimethylacethamide/lithiun chloride so it could be recycable i think...
