Could anyone explain me what role calcium plays in the immune system?  :)

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Those links are mainly journals, and I can't find any straight answer in any of them  ???

I'm writing about tunneling nanotubes, and found a journal where a research group had observed that the cells of the immune system could transfer calcium through their TNTs. They therefore concluded that the TNTs helps the immune system to react on threats. There were no article in their references about the role of calcium in the immune system, so i thought it was "general knowledge". But the google-links are all about very narrow field related to it?
