Building a Hazmat reaction table
« on: June 17, 2010, 10:33:42 PM »
Howdy everybody!

I'm building a chemical reaction chart for the hazmat team at work (so we know what we're responding to), and I'm hung up on a particular combination.  Chemical "A" is composed of 5%-10% Peracetic Acid, 10%-20% Acetic Acid, and 10%-20% Hydrogen Peroxide.  Chemical "B" is >30% Ammonium Hydroxide/Urea (granuallated quat).  I need to know what reaction, if any, we should be concerned about, and what to do if we run into this situation.  If anyone that answers ever makes it to Texas, I'll buy you a BBQ sammich.
