questions about predicting chemical reactions
« on: July 10, 2010, 11:54:18 PM »
Hi,all:
I know that there are some programs or database to predict orgnic chemical reactions such as ROBIA,scifinder, webreactions, etc.I wonder that whether there are also some programs or software to predict inorganic chemical reactions? If so, what are their names? Can anyone tell me that?My major isnot Chemical,so if I say anything incorrect, please forgive me.Thank you!
waiting..

Scifinder and things like Beilstein / Gmelin seem fairly good from my experience, but as ever with these the knack is knowing what and how to search them effectively, especially in inorganic / organometallic due to differences in representation of compounds etc

thanks for your reply,I have tried to search reactions by Scifinder , since I have no idea about it ,I can just get the organic reactions in the results. As a matter of fact,I don't care how to do it,because I can ask some pros for help.I just want an answer, can or cannot?can we tell if two substance(reactants) react?can we know what the products are?thanks, and go on waiting for answers...
