Heat Absorbing Materials
« on: July 19, 2010, 03:40:16 PM »
Hello,

I apologize if this is an impossible question, but im a layman as far as chemistry goes.

I was wondering if there are any compounds or materials that are able to almost instantly cool temperatures approaching 200 degrees centrigrade (392 farenheit). For example say the bottom of a frying pan was 392 degrees farenheit, is there a material that could be moulded into a surface that would almost instantly reduce the tempreture to around 10 degrees farenheit and below?

Cheers,

Wolf.
