Does anyone know of another method to assay titanium dioxide besides titration with KMnO4 (ICP is not tight enough for the limits of 99.0 to 100.5 set by the USP?

We are consistently getting low values with the assay as listed in the USP.  Suggestions?

Kevins:

Do you have a gravimetric method available that you would be willing to share?

Thx,
