Need Help?
« on: September 14, 2010, 12:16:20 PM »
Hi Guys,

This are the variables i am given and i believe i am stuck with the equation to solve it. So i am requiring some serious assistance

T = 373.15
p = 1 atm
Molar volume H2O = 1.88 x 10^-5 m^3
Molar volume steam = 3.06 x 10^-2 m^3
Heat of vaporization of water = 40.79 KJ/mol

I have to find delta H (enthalpy) and delta U (internal energy) for 1mol.

H =  U + delta (PV) = U + nRT

U = q + w = q - P(V2-V1)

can you please tell me if i am going in the right direction with the equation or am i doing something wrong
