converting absorptivity ratings?
« on: October 07, 2010, 02:11:54 AM »
I have been told to "compare my calculated molar absorptivity" with the absorptivity value obtained by using a Cary 50 UV spectrophotometer. I would do this, but the values for the Cary are in the thousands, and my calculated value is 1.732. Lab instructor said nothing about converting units and the lab manual doesn't say anything either. Am I missing something or some conversion step that I just wasn't told how to do?
