Where can I find ammonium phosphate?
« on: August 24, 2005, 10:47:42 AM »
 ???

I need both ammonium carbonate and ammonium phosphate.  I was able to discover through the internet that the former is sold as a baking product at a local mediterranean restaurant, but I have not been able to locate a local source for the latter.  My supplier does not sell this product, and I really cannot afford to shop around and purchase a large amount.

I know this compound is found in fertilizers, but has anyone found it sold by itself?

Sincerely, Dawn

Hi Dawn.  Have you tried E-Bay?  The E-Bay store 'Chemsavers', I believe they are called, sells all kinds of chemicals in quantities which should serve your needs perfectly, and at great prices.  If they don't have it listed on their E-Bay store, you can always shoot them off an e-mail with a request.  They are a great place to shop and are perfect for the home chemistry enthusiast.
