Transition metal oxides
« on: October 17, 2010, 05:52:28 AM »
Hello,
Just wondering about this question about common oxidation states: which of the following includes the transition metals in common oxidation states (i.e. oxidation states observed for the ions in aqueous solution in the presence of dioxygen)?
A) VV, CrVI, MnII
B) TiII, VIV, CrIII
C) CrIII, MnIII, FeIII
D) TiII, VII, MnII
E) FeIII, CoII, CuIII

From what i've read, it seems to me like several of these are correct  ???
