Enthalpy Change Quic Question
«

The question asks
Write the balanced chemical equation for the reaction for which the standard enthalpy change is the standard molar enthalpy change of formation at 25C for methanol CH3OH
I have
C +2H2 +1/2 O2----->CH3OH -238.4 KJ/mol (Just got this from a chart)
Is this all I am supposed to do?

Yes, when writing a standard heat of formation equation, the reactants are in their natural state at 25C and 1atm.
