Nitric oxide and KOH

(1/1)

haiph12:
When  NO2 + KOH + O2  =  ?
what  productions ?

jkrumh1:
Probably...
NO2 + KOH + O2 -----> KNO2 or 3 (depending on how it comes out with balancing and situation) and H2Owater.

So either Potassium Nitirite or Potassium Nitrate and water

However, you might want to get a second opinion

haiph12:
I think
KOH + NO2 = KNO3 + KNO2 + H2O

but  this reaction:
KNO2 + O2  = KNO3 ( in KOH)   yes or no ?
