Oxidation Reduction Potential
« on: October 29, 2010, 01:31:19 PM »

If I get a negative number for an oxidation reduction potential reading, what does this mean? I understand that this negative voltage indicates a strong reducing environment, so does this mean it will promote the reduction of something like Se+5 to Se+3?

Thanks for your thoughts!
