Iodine Clock Reaction with Perosulphate
« on: November 24, 2010, 09:21:00 AM »
i am doin a clock reaction as part of my investigation. i have tried several different experiments now for the past 3wks. However, i seem to be doin something wrong. the time for the solution to change to blue/ black is too long. i have tried varying the concentrations (as well as the volumes) and i still have not yeilded any useful results.
i am hoping to get times which are between 0-15minutes long. with atleast 5 different concentration.
I am using the following chemicals:
-Potassium peroxydisulphate
-Potassium Iodide
-Sodium Thiosulphate
-starch (1%)
Thank you ... (im asking cus im reali struggling and im running out of time  :'( ).
