Confusing Calculation
« on: November 29, 2010, 12:48:10 AM »
There is a compound that has a 4.5% solubility w/v in water.  Molar weight of chemical A is 446.581. Water Molar Weight 18.0153.  I am trying to figure out what the concentration the chemical will have in ppm ( parts per million )  of a 23 L tank of water.  If I had 10 grams of chemical A how long roughly could it be immersed in water until it is dissolved?

Really lost here, any help would be greatly appreciated.  Not sure if any more information is needed.  If there is let me know and I can try and find it.

Thanks Again!
