Surface integrals
« on: December 07, 2010, 05:27:23 PM »
Consider the vector field F = x2i+zk. Evaluate the surface integral of this field,
I = ʃF.dS
over the cylinder of radius 1 with the centre of its base at Cartesian co-ordinates
(0,0,0) and the centre of its top at (0,0,2),
i. by direct surface integration, and
ii. by using Gauss’s theorem

any help would be great thanks
