Trying to find accepted value K(eq) constant to get % deviation?
« on: December 05, 2010, 05:54:26 PM »
Hi all,

I'm doing a lab report and have found that the K equilibrium constant for the hydrolysis of ethyl acetate:

ethyl acetate + water   ::equil:: ethanol + acetic acid

catalyzed by HCl is .133 according to our experiments. We are asked to find the % deviation and so I have searched for the accepted room temperature value is for this constant in vain. Is there a good database where I can find such a value?
