Catalyzed Reaction Properties
« on: December 06, 2010, 10:27:08 PM »
Select all of the following that are true about a catalyzed reaction.

A The activation energy for the reverse reaction decreases.
B The equilibrium constant of the reverse reaction increases.
C The amount of heat released by the forward reaction increases.
D The equilibrium constant of the forward reaction increases.
E The rate of the reverse reaction increases.
F The rate of the forward reaction increases.
G The difference in energy for the reactants and the products decreases.
H The activation energy for the forward reaction decreases.

I thought that A, E, F, G, and H were true, as I didn't think that the equilibrium constant would change with a catalyst (so B and D would be wrong) and I didn't think that the amount of heat released would change, since the initial and final plateaus are in the same place, so D would be wrong)

Not sure what I'm getting incorrect. Thanks for any help

Sthe initial and final plateaus are in the same place

Given that, have another look at G.
