Can any one suggest a substitute for TERPINEOL.  The price of Terpineol has doubled in the recent times, and likely to go up in the comi

"Substitute" in what sense?
Is there a particular property of Terpineol you're looking for?

I'm not a grad student, so don't kill me for asking this... but... "Would synthesizing it yourself be out of the question?"
ie. Did you mean you're looking for a molecule that's a couple quantitative reaction steps away from terpineol?

Hi,

Substitute in the sense creating a new compound which would have the odoferous qualities of terpineol (hope I am clear)
