Im having trouble figuring out what the chemical reactions mean on my physics professors home page http://physics2.nmu.edu/~wtireman/ if some could help me out it would be much appreciated.

They are nuclear reactions not chemical reactions. Your professor also misspelled University on his homepage.  ::)

1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
