Abramovitch and Shapiro
« on: January 25, 2011, 09:45:02 AM »
Hi, anyone know something about the reaction described by Abramovitch and Shapiro for the synthesis of tryptamines and β-carbolines (Article R. A. Abramovitch and D. Shapiro. J. Chem. Soc., 1956, 4589-4592). I would like to know which solvents are involved in the different steps of the raction: anyone can help me?

Did you read the paper? Full experimental part is included.
