Convection Cycles in Aqueous Solutions
« on: February 01, 2011, 12:08:32 PM »
I have a kind of random question and I'm not sure where to post it, but here it is:
Do aqueous solutions exhibit convection cycles and if so, are they less, more, or as prominent as a convection cycle under the same conditions in water? I know this is a bit ambiguous, but I'm not sure how you could quantify a convection cycle. If there isn't a conventional way, assume it's the mean speed at which the fluid circulates.
