1. balanced chemical equation for the formation of the benzonitrile oxide
and for the reaction of benzonitrile oxide with styrene.

2. My main problem is the mechanism for the synthesis of diphenylisoxazoline. I need to understand this for my test. can someone draw the mechanism and explain it please. I know that I start by drawing the mechanism for the formation of the benzonitrile oxide from benzaldoxime. treat the NaOCl as sodium hydroxide and chlorine gas and I also need to form the chloro-oxime intermediate before forming the benzonitrile oxide. Can someone draw this so I can understand what is going on?

Have you googled it? there is plenty of information on that as well as the cycloaddition...

search for 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition
