Hi guys,

I have a question related to vibrational motions, I have no idea how to come up with them!? :(
please help me...

Question: What are the differences between the frequencies and vibrational motions between HDO, H2O, D2O?

Water's stiffness and quantified rotation momentum stay the same with hydrogen and deuterium. But mass changes. So you can find frequency ratios between H2O, D2O and HDO.

The subtlety is that rotations and vibrations occur around the centre of mass, making the answer either more complicated or slightly imprecise.

So you mean that I just need to write equation for frequency then say that mass change is the cause of frequency diffrence?
