Heat Capacity vs Specific Heat
« on: March 15, 2011, 10:01:29 PM »
when is heat capacity a more useful variable than specific heat?

heat capacity = specific heat x mass.

You'll notice that when you calculate the heat of reaction by using a bomb calorimeter, you'll use both the heat capacity and the specific heat.
